Lasath, being a Chartered Professional Engineer, having nearly 40 years’ experience in Building Services Engineering and being a Fellow of Engineers Australia, has provided advice as an SME, to the Legal Profession, on matters that have involved litigation through the courts.
In one occasion, our services were provided to carry out detailed investigations including project archives, in support of a clients claim against a contractor for negligence. On another occasion, it was to defend a contractor against a claim from a client.
We have also provided SME services for tender reviews and recommendations, evaluation of claims for variations, and the development of Performance Solutions, as an alternative means to demonstrate compliance with the requirements in the National Construction Code, to the Building Certifier.
