Engineering Support Team
Supporting the ESBS Leadership Team, we have Chris Wu, Shan Dahanayaka, Lakmal Pathirana and Chamath Madushan. They perform site investigations, engineering design and drafting, thermal modelling, energy simulations, protect specifications, tender schedules, costing and life cycle analysis, project management and maintenance management.
Under the direction of the Leadership Team, engineering staff also perform, Design Reviews, Independent Commissioning Agent services, Energy Audits, Electrification Studies and Strategies.
Engineers at ESBS are professionally qualified, having degrees that meet Washington Accord and Engineers Australia requirements for entry to the National Engineers Register-NER. We take pride in our knowledge transfer process to new entrants. This covers practical exposure to science and engineering fundamentals, Australian and other relevant standards, regulatory and compliance aspects, before they contribute to projects. Training includes modules on the National Construction Code, Workplace Health and Safety, Safety in Design, and multi-disciplinary engineering topics covering Mechanical, Electrical, Controls and BMS, Hydraulics and Fire Protection Services.
Staff are encouraged to improve verbal and written communication which are essential soft skills for Engineering Design, Collaboration, and Project Management. Regular in-house training sessions are conducted on technical and other relevant topics, which are targeted to improve staff confidence, communication, harmonious relationships and productivity. ESBS was a finalist in the AIRAH 2022 Awards for Diversity and Inclusion.
