Current president of AIRAH Canberra chapter.

Lasath is a Chartered Professional Engineer with 30 years’ experience with sustainable design of building services.  Lasath has broad experience with numerous projects including, offices, hospitals, schools, leisure centres, factories, workshops, fire & police stations and defence establishments- working in England, Scotland, New Zealand and Australia. Lasath has also carried out more than 100 Energy Audits for a variety of Clients and this experience provides a valuable insight during design stages of projects to avoid pitfalls and to maximise energy efficiency in building services. Lasath is a NABERS Accredited assessor and the current president of the Canberra chapter for AIRAH.

Some of Lasath’s projects have received awards including the 2012 AIRAH National Award for Engineering Excellence for The Most Sustainable Retrofit and the 2014 National Trust Heritage Award for an Outstanding Project for the Upgrading of the Heating System at the Old Parliament House.

John Anderson – Senior Energy Consultant

Qualified. BSc Physics and Computer Science, University of Otago.

John has more than 30 years experience which includes Energy Management, Energy Auditing, Building Physics and the use of BMS/Controls. Johns experience with Energy Audits includes offices, hospitals, university buildings and laboratories. John is proficient in the use of MS Excel and Visual Basic for analysis and dynamic simulations using eQUEST 3.64 which uses a DOE 2.2 simulation engine. John has carried out numerous building simulations over the years including offices, hospitals, police stations and residences for NABERS and Green Star performance. Daylighting and glazing performance is modelled using Window 7.2  from Lawrence Berkley Laboratories and modelling of artificial lighting is performed using DIALux.

Amnon Holland – Senior Building Services Engineer

Amnon is a Building Services Engineer with 6 years’ experience working on a wide range of applications and technologies for a variety of Clients. His projects include new builds and refurbishments, trouble shooting, building optimisation, peer reviews, hydronic systems, refrigeration, critical controlled spaces and commissioning/ recommissioning.Amnon has gained experience through a range of projects that have involved HVAC assessments, central energy plant design, critical condition spaces, control systems design, construction stage monitoring and systems monitoring and fine tuning.  Amnon has worked on a range of projects including some of Canberra’s iconic buildings, hospitals, campuses, aged care facilities and central energy plant.

Yao Xiong Loo – Graduate Building Services Engineer

Qualified: BEng (Hons) – Australian National University

Loo is a Building Services Engineer at ESBS who graduated from the ANU in 2015 with first class honours.Loo’s experience includes performing heat load calculations, drafting CAD drawings/schematics of as-installed systems, analysis of data for energy audits and feasibility studies and collation of data for NABERS ratings.As a renewable energy engineering graduate, Loo is keen to develop his skills in energy conservation, sustainable design and the development of alternative energy solutions for our Clients.
